JoJo Style Challenge Day 2

Day 2.1

2-4-1 Tuesday!

You’re not imagining things, folks. Today, I’ll be featuring two of JoJo’s looks for the price of one!

For those of you new to the blog–welcome! I’m on day two of my self-imposed “JoJo Style Challenge.” Every day this week I will attempt to channel my style guru–JoJo Fletcher from this season of The Bachelorette. Yesterday, I recreated her comfy casual look from episode two. Today, I am featuring outfits she wore on two different one-on-one dates with Luke Pell. (My top pick for next season’s Bachelor. Though, I don’t really want him to go on the show because I want him all to myself. Amirite, ladies??).

Also, can we just take a moment to acknowledge how Luke is in a near constant state of smoldering? Someone get that man a glass of milk! (Meanwhile, I’m going to take a cold shower.)

This outfit made a brief appearance in episode 7. JoJo and Luke had an unusually short one-on-one date. They rode horses, then it was straight to the rose ceremony (which seemed to happen the same day as their date). No wonder Luke never got the chance to tell JoJo that he loved her! They didn’t get to share a romantic, candlelit evening together (where they’re apparently contractually obligated to act as though the gorgeous food in front of them doesn’t exist).

In recreating this look, I opted to wear leggings. I love any excuse to wear leggings as pants. In fact, I’m certain that if male CEOs tried wearing leggings for a day we’d see less restrictions placed on work attire across America.

JoJo wore this outfit on her hometown date with Luke, where she met his family and oodles of his closest friends. (Apparently Luke is friends with every resident in his small, Texas hometown. Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose?) In the evening, Luke nearly professed his love to JoJo in front of a giant heart made of flower petals (reminiscent of the candle house Meredith created for Derek in season 4 of Grey’s Anatomy…man, that show went off the rails). This grand romantic gesture wasn’t enough, and Luke was sent home at the rose ceremony. To quell your sadness, here are some pictures of me in my version of JoJo’s hometown getup.

This might be one of JoJo’s easiest looks to recreate. Light on layers. A quintessential southern summer look.
